Boys' Soccer

Aaron Dean

The boys’ soccer program offers three teams: a varsity, junior varsity, c-team and a freshman team. These teams compete in a sixteen game season in the Sunflower League. The program has enjoyed a tradition of class and success and is committed to providing a positive experience and developmental approach for its players.

In order to participate in boys’ soccer at Shawnee Mission South in the fall, you must have a physical on file in the athletic office, a signed concussion form, and complete the online forms in Skyward.  You also must sign up for a tryout time.  See our website for more information.

Meetings and Events:

The season runs from mid-August to early November. The season typically has sixteen regular season games—Varsity and JV typically play on Tuesday and Thursdays at 5:00 and 7:00 respectively. The C team usually plays on Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:30 – 5:00. Varsity and JV home games are played at the Shawnee Mission South Stadium, and home C team games are played at the district soccer complex. Practices during the season begin after school and typically last about two hours. All teams can be expected to practice Monday through Friday and occasionally on Saturday mornings.
