Bullying behaviors are not accepted at Shawnee Mission South.
All students at SMS should expect to feel safe at all times.
SMS definition of bullying: Any physical, verbal, written, or electronic contact resulting in a person feeling uncomfortable, isolated, or threatened.
Any student who is bullied or who observes someone being bullied needs to SPEAK UP!
Almost every student knows to stop, drop and roll.
When bullying occurs, what should they do?
“STOP” the action, “WALK” away and “TALK” to someone who can help. “Stop.Walk.Talk”
Don’t be silent; report what has happened or is happening. “Stop.Walk.Talk.”
Talk to a teacher, counselor, or an administrator or report it anonymously on the SM South Website, where you will find a report bullying link.
